Former President Donald Trump had a one-line response to a heckler at a campaign event earlier this week that ramped up the crowd and led to cheers of “USA!”

During a rally at the Waukesha County Expo Center in Waukesha, Wisconsin, as he was talking about restoring police officers’ ability to maintain peace as universities are overrun by anti-Israel protests, someone in the crowd began shouting.

It’s unclear whether the individual was upset about the former president’s statement that it “was a beautiful thing to watch” the demonstrators being arrested, or if they simply showed up to express disdain for Trump, the Western Journal reported.

As the heckler began to yell, he was drowned out with chants of “USA! USA!” as Trump joined in as well. “Where did he come from?” the former president asked. After he thanked his supporters, he then addressed the heckler: “Go home to mom, right? Go home to your mom.”

“Say hello to mother,” Trump said. “Oh, she’s gonna be angry. Because she’s watching right now on television. She’s watching on television. She’s saying, ‘That’s my son.’”

He went on to joke that the legacy media would report the incident as “pandemonium” when it was, in reality, just a single heckler who himself was shouted down by the president’s supporters.

The Libertarian Party announced on Wednesday that Trump, the likely GOP presidential nominee, will address its members at their national convention in Washington, D.C., later this month.

An announcement from the party said Trump will address the LP convention on May 25 “and directly address concerns voiced by its members.”

Members of the party plan to share a list of their top ten issues with Trump before the convention in hopes of influencing the policy positions of a former and potentially future president, the announcement said.

“For 50 years, we’ve been trying to get our candidates on the main stage with major party POTUS candidates and we’ve finally succeeded in bringing one to our stage. We will do everything in our power to use this incredible opportunity to advance the message of liberty,” said LP Chairwoman Angela McArdle.

Trump added: “Libertarians are some of the most independent and thoughtful thinkers in our Country, and I am honored to join them in Washington, DC, later this month We must all work together to help advance freedom and liberty for every American, and a second Trump Administration will achieve that goal.

“I look forward to speaking at the Libertarian Event, which will be attended by many of my great friends. We all have to remember that our goal is to defeat the Worst President in the History of the United States, BY FAR, Crooked Joe Biden. If Libertarians join me and the Republican Party, where we have many Libertarian views, the election won’t even be close. We cannot have another four years of death, destruction, and incompetence. WE WILL WORK TOGETHER AND WIN!” he added.

The party’s announcement notes that the theme for the 2024 Libertarian National Convention is “Become Ungovernable.” The selection follows years of what are deemed unacceptable authoritarian actions by both the Federal and State governments of the United States, the party said.

The announcement further claimed that citizens have experienced confinement, indoctrination, deception, and forced inoculations against their will. The convention aims to advocate for citizens reclaiming their basic rights and freedoms by becoming ungovernable.

It will feature renowned speakers, activists, and thinkers, and will also determine the Libertarian presidential candidate for the 2024 election cycle. It stands as a gathering of individuals who prioritize freedom, liberty, and independent thinking, said the announcement.
